Temptation Is a Part of our Walk with the Lord
James 1:2-4 says, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; v.2
Knowing this, that that trying of your faith worketh patience. v.3
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." v.4
I want to encourage you with these words about Jesus. Hebrews 4:15 says, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."
In Hebrews 2:17-18 it states, "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. v.17
For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour (aid) them that are tempted." v.18
You can have this confidence that Jesus will come to your aid in every temptation and cause you to rise above it. Many times you will not even realize that he is the one that brought you through it, but he is always there. He will never leave you nor will he forsake you.
God bless you,
