The Spirit of God Exhorts Us to Praise and Worship God
Updated: May 19, 2008
On the live broadcasts, Sunday, May 18, 2008, the Spirit of God was speaking this verse of scripture in Hebrews 13:15, "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
I was talking to Mike Carter today, and the Lord directed him on Sunday to read Luke 24:53. As Mike and I were talking, I looked in the bible at Luke 24:50-53, "And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. v.50
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. v.51
We notice in verses 50 and 51, Jesus was blessing his disciples and was carried up into heaven. Continuing on in verses 52 and 53, they worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: v.52
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen." v.53
The word that should be obeyed is continually.
The Spirit of God continues to exhort us with the words of Jesus with the woman at the well in John 4.
John 4:19-24 says, "The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. v.19
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. v.20
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. v.21
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. v.22
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. v.23
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." v.24
The Spirit also spoke expressly yesterday that God was seeking for people that would worship him.
God bless you,
