Perfecting My Faith for the Coming Days
March 3, 2017
Thursday morning, March 2nd, Doyle woke
up with instructions from the Lord to write an email to three leaders in the
Body of Christ with certain information about his life. He dictated these
words to me to type up for him. It was a blessing to hear the Spirit of God
put together this information which most of us have heard many times before,
but the Lord put together this overview of Doyle’s life, learning to be a
servant of God, in a very beautiful way. So we want to share this publicly
for you to consider (withholding names of the email addressees) . As a
personal note, I pray it blesses you to read this as it did me.
God
bless,
Terre Brown

"The Lord is directing me to make known this information to you three men
and your organizations. You are free to share any of this info with whoever
you want to; it’s all public knowledge. I’ve been in public ministry 36
years in Plano, Texas. I’ve been very blessed by the Lord to have a heart
and an ear that can hear him. I’ve wholly followed the Lord since January
1970 when he told me to sell my veterinary hospital and practice and to obey
him. He sent an angel before me to bring me to the place that he had
prepared for me.
Exodus 23: 20 Behold, I send
an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the
place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke
him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
The Lord spent the next several years
intensely dealing with my life, to prove what was in my heart and whether I
would obey him.
Deuteronomy 8: 2 And thou
shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years
in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in
thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
The Lord spent until 1977 teaching me
how to walk by faith with money. He said to me, “You’ve heard: Get and give,
but my Son said, Give and get it!”
Luke 6: 38 Give, and it
shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,
and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure
that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
During that training period I lived a
much lower lifestyle than I had been used to, and through the years had to
sell everything I owned - my show horses, my cattle; I cashed in all my
investments and insurance policies. Then it was just the Father, the Son and
Doyle and Patti, my wife. I learned to trust the Lord alone for everything
and to obey him in all that I did. In May 1976 I sold my property on 6 ½
acres in Argyle, Texas and paid off all that I owed on the house and all
other indebtedness and had $350 left. At 45 years of age I was broke with
only $350 to my name, but I was glad to be out of debt. I lived in a rent
house in Carrolton, Texas until May 1977, and by then I was a trained
servant of God. I had learned how to walk in the Spirit with everything in
my life. It’s just the grace and mercy of God, nothing else! Within weeks
then I bought a 4 bedroom, 2400 square foot house on 1 ¼ acres in Fairview
just south of McKinney, Texas. It had only been lived in for 6 weeks, owned
by a Colonel in Iran. I lived in that house 27 years. My wife Patti went to
heaven in February 2003. In June 2004 I gave that house away and moved to
Plano where I lived in a furnished luxury apartment for five months until I
bought a house. I signed the contract on 1708 Arena Drive in Plano on
December 8, 2004 and paid it off the 23rd of December 2005.
I was a practicing veterinarian,
operating in a rented office space which I kept from 1977 to 1982, when in
1980 God directed me to go to Plano and speak to the people of Plano. No one
instructed me. I operated the finances in the ministry by the Spirit of God
just like the Lord had taught me to walk in the Spirit as a veterinarian.
There were many years that I obeyed God, and in every situation until I
obeyed him I didn’t get to move forward. In the early years of the ministry,
from 1980 to 1992, I was tried in many ways to obey the Spirit. Then in
February 1992 God sent my ministry national and international with LeSEA.
For more than 20 years now I have not had any financial problems, and I’ve
been debt free since 1985. God made me with a giving heart and without
partiality.
In September 2015 God began to make
strong corrections in my ministry. Some years earlier he told me I had a
fearful heart, Isaiah 35, and to be strong and fear not.
Isaiah 35: 4 Say to them
that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come
with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Beginning in September of 2015 he
started taking the fear out of my heart and much of it has come out. This
morning the Lord spoke to me and said, “Be strong in the Lord and the power
of his might. Don’t compromise your words, for the time has come for you to
stand before the strong.” During 2016 I went through a period where each
week was a great struggle to believe God for the finances that I needed for
that week. You three know that I pay for all of my TV and radio programs
each week in advance. Any other bills that I receive during the week I also
pay by Friday. Many weeks in 2016 I had just barely enough to pay all my
invoices by Friday, as I have done all these years in the ministry. I had
not been through such a trying time with finances in perhaps twenty years.
Personally, I also moved into a place where I abased and abounded. The Lord knew that I know how to walk, both in my ministry and personally, and that is to be sufficient whether I abase or abound.
Philippians 4: 11 Not
that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I
am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how
to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and
to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Some weeks by Thursday it still looked
impossible to pay all for the week, but I stood fast before the Lord,
expecting him to bring the money in and he always did! Only two weeks out of
that time we mailed our last bill on Saturday but otherwise it was always by
Friday. This went on for several months, but I knew in my spirit that
beginning in 2017 a change was coming.
In the second week of January the Lord
told me to give my house where I lived (1708 Arena Drive, Plano, TX, free of
debt since 2005) to my ministry, Water of Life Church of Plano, Inc. Then
the following Tuesday, in the third week of January, we opened the mail and
had three checks from one man totaling $152,000. I had no idea that this man
had that kind of money. (Now at this time I had a 2006 Cadillac that had
130,000 miles on it which I had bought new and paid cash for, and I knew
that God wanted me to have a new Cadillac. Kathy D and I discuss a lot of
things, and she is the one that drives it most of the time. She agreed that
it was time I should have a new Cadillac.) When these three checks came in
the mail, there was one check for $38,000 to Water of Life Church, one check
for $38,000 with Kathie Davidson on the memo line, and one check for $76,000
with Doyle Davidson on the memo line. Kathie D and I agreed to combine our
money, the two checks designated for us, and give half of it to Water of
Life Church and that Water of Life Church should buy the new Cadillac and
own it going forward. That is what we did. Then on January 30 I had all the
details finalized to give the deed to my house to Water of Life Church. And
two days later I also gave the church all the furniture that was in my house
and my 2004 Tahoe with 70,000 miles on it (which was bought new). The only
possession I have is a bicycle! The house is now a furnished parsonage and I
currently live there. The Lord has brought us triumphantly through those
months of correction. I would be presumptuous to say that I know what
tomorrow would bring, but whatever it is I am ready, and know that I will
obey the Lord and he will always bring me through to victory!
God bless,
Doyle Davidson"
